-> Le Villaret
Most captive breeding centres of threatened species are interventionist, for example artificially putting pairs together for reproduction. Le Villaret was created to follow another approach, allowing expression of natural behaviours and free choice of mating partners.
This half-captive breeding has produced individuals adapted to life in the wild, and some of them were successfully reintroduced into Mongolia, the historical range of Przewalski's horses.
